WELCOME TO THE TANGIER BUREAU

Australian, Virginia Affleck (known to all as ‘Pin’), has a lifelong love of design, travel, storytelling and exploration and is renowned for sharing these passions with others. In 2020, Pin founded Made in Tangier; a textiles business based in Tangier, Morocco, where she worked tirelessly to celebrate age old hand weaving traditions pared with contemporary designs drawn up at her kitchen table.

In 2022, Halima Daoudi joined Pin as her Office Manager, bringing to the table a beautiful wit, patience and years of experience following a career in Moroccan banks and corporate culture.

As the business expanded from single and wholesale orders of textiles and artisan wares, and began to include bespoke travel and events, tailor made shopping trips, off market property consultation, as well as administrative consultation, the two spent hours sharing stories of cultural differences and plenty of laughter.

In 2023, they eventually agreed it was time to formalise their offerings and co found a business together. Here, they combine their life experiences and differing skills therewith a shared passion for Tangier - and Morocco as a whole - and all it’s wonderful offerings.
